Die neue EU-Whistleblowing-Richtlinie hätte bis zum 17. Dezember 2021 in Deutschland umgesetzt werden müssen. Der im April 2021 durch das von der SPD geführte Justizministerium vorgelegte Referentenentwurf kam unter der Großen Koalition nicht zustande. Seit Anfang April 2022 liegt nun der neue Referentenentwurf zum Hinweisgeberschutzgesetz vor. Voraussichtlich nach der Sommerpause wird das finale Gesetz vom Kabinett beschlossen werden und im Herbst in Kraft treten.

Für viele Unternehmen bedeutet dies, dass sie interne Meldekanäle einrichten bzw. bestehende interne Meldekanäle an die Vorgaben des Hinweisgeberschutzgesetzes anpassen müssen.
